I bought a wood wheel and it's a bit darker than my burle but not nearly as dark as birds eye. Just wondering if the grain in the wheel is different and that's why it looks darker or if it's a completely different wood

Same situation here on my wooden wheel I bought that came off an 03 e500. It's darker than the rest of my burl wood trim, but I read somewhere it's due to the fact that they use harder wood for the steering wheel hence the denser color. There are parts on the rest of the burl wood trim that match the steering wheel darkness so this could be a valid assumption.
