2005 E320 CDI Navigation Issues
I have searched and searched - no avail.
I have a rather odd problem. It started as not starting the car over Christmas. Wife came home and the car wasn't started for 3 days. When we went out, the car had enough battery to unlock and show things, but not enough to start. I did a slow charge for a few days and since the car has not had issues....because I researched the problem.
Apparently the AGW fails and drains on the battery - so I took advice and disconnected what I thought was the AGW and refused the line and installed on a car-on only line in the rear.
Since that time, the Navigation shows the ready screen and then "No NAV DVD". I took it out, cleaned it. No avail. I burned a copy, no dice.
I went on here today and searched and found the update threads. I updated the COMAND via the CD. Stuck the OEM (2004.1) DVD back in - "No NAV DVD". I tried to do the DVD update some explained. I took the DVD out while sitting on the "no NAV DVD" screen and inserted the update DVD - no change. I put the 2014 DVD in from one of the threads...no change.
I am at a loss what else I can do or what I did wrong.

Called the dealer this morning to setup an appointment for an update to the Nav. The Service Advisor said that 2005 has a Plug and Go? system and should not require an update. Not sure if this is BS or not.
