NGK Laser iridium plugs? Is it worth it?

I have seen many people recommend the NGK iridium lasers. Any reason why these are better than oem plugs? Anyone have a part number for 2009 E350?

yes, i just did OEM wires and Lasers in mine about 3k miles ago..

pick up is noticeably better, and with the first few tanks my average MPG starting going up, i believe it was like 2-3mpg gain.

Cool. Got a part number? Can't seem to find a part number for the laser iridiums. Only the laser platinum is coming up.

PLKR7A seems to be the part number that keeps popping up for my car, but some websites seems to be advertising this particular part number as laser platinum and some as a laser iridium. Did NGK use the same part number for both plug types?

I just called one of the sites that was advertising the PLKR7A as a iridium plug, they pulled the box out of the warehouse and the box says laser platinum. Even he was surprised. Am I missing something here? Did ngk stop branding the plugs laser iridium or something?
