W211 Facelift HK Sub Problem, ANOTHER PROBLEM :(
This is regarding my 2008 E550,
I dont know if i am crazy and start noticing every little thing that changes in the car or i just never noticed, but my sub and HK system started to act up. I hit a pretty big pothole yesterday (dang LA streets) and didn't think anything of it. Once i turned up the ipod on the freeway i noticed reduced bass. I was popping my ears hoping it would change but nothing. I checked the sub and it still works, but seems very shallow. When i sit in the back seat im either hearing rattling of the sub in its mounted spot or the sub is blown. Regardless it sounds find but just weaker than usual after the bump. Possible amp problems maybe? How can i check this myself? The last thing i want to do is go aftermarket when IMHO this system is awesome. Hope i didnt mess something up that cant be fixed, or maybe im crazy and nothing happened. Any input is appreciated. Thanks and help!

Only way to know for sure if it's you or the sub is to play the same cd in another car with the same system and compare it to yours. I have a 2009 e350 with the same sound system and I'm in North Hollywood. Welcome to come and compare it to mine.
