Exclamation e500 Rear Air Struts

Hello everyone I have done lots of research on this issue but have come out empty-handed for my solution. I really like MBWorld and have been loving all of the great information posted by all of you.

I have an e500 and when I press the "vehicle raise" button, the dashboard shows the sign that the car is rising, yet only the front struts go up. The previous owner of the car put non-OEM air struts in the front, and the 2 rear struts are OEM Mercedes.

This is a peculiar scenario for me because the rear struts do hold air and they do not leak very much overnight. Every morning after I start the engine, they raise back to regular ride height and perform normally during all other situations.

But why don't the rear struts go up during the "vehicle raise" function?

Any experience with this issue or explanations for this would be greatly appreciated.

Brandon

Yea I will find somewhere to have a diagnostics run on the Airmatic system. If i must go to a dealer i will, but I can go to an Indy shop right? As long as they have a STAR diagnostics? What other softwares will work equally?
