Today my car is driving find and then out of the blue my check engine light came on I put a inexpensive ob2 scanner and it read that the check engine light was on and that the code was dct can anyone help me to tell me what this might be and how I can fix because I will be traveling in the car . The car turns on and shifts fine. It's a 2003 e500 w/o formatic.

I suggest you read the manual and try again because typically the screen will say Pxxx or Pxxxx. I have never seen a "dct" fault!!
