How to get Bluetooth wired in my E350?
Hi everyone,
I just bought a 2008 E350. I didn't realize that just because I have phone buttons on the steering wheel that the car is not factory wired for Bluetooth. There is no place in the armrest area to plug in an adapter for the Bluetooth. Is it still possible to get the wiring harness and get this thing connected?

Hello. I own a E320 2003 mine also come with factory phone controls on steering wheel but has no Bluetooth Conection. I replaced my factory radio with a pioneer head unit with integrated Bluetooth. And I also installed a module so I can still use my factory controls on steering wheel with the aftermarket radio. Works great.

I recently added the Mobridge unit from Midcity. Depending on how much prewiring exists adding OEM is a pain and expensive (lots of threads). The quality aftermarket kits are better in function and quality, IMO.
The one I got connects in the fiber optic ring and fully integrates with the headunit, instument cluster, and steering controls. Downloads contacts, recent calls, etc to headunit. It also added a wired ipod connection, and I can stream bluetooth music as well. The phone audio quality is better than my new 2014 C63 on both ends.
The downside is I lost the functionality of the CD changer (no biggie as I still have single CD slot and gained ipod), and it cost $900 installed.
