190e small beep when press on brake! HELP
hi i have a 1990 190e and every time i open any door or step on the brake a small BEEP noise comes from under the hood. it only lasts a split second but driving in traffic or anywhere it gets annoying. i have a feeling it is trying to signal that something needs to be done but i have no idea what. i just bought the car and it had the stereo cut out of it and it was a mess so i took my time and wired in a new stereo besides that i have done nothing to the car any insight on the issue would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Hello and welcome! Ive had a few W124's and a W123 before but never had the pleasure of a W201. As far as I remember, I dont think any of the older model MB's had the feature of a warning beep when there's anything wrong with it (but I could be wrong).
Was it doing it before you installed the stereo?
Like the other guys said, you'll have better chances on the W201 forum. Goodluck and hope you find an inexpensive and easy fix on your problem, and sorry we cant be of much help.
