35MM or 45MM

I am about to order some wheels. 2008 e350 current set up is 18*8 up front 18*9 in back.
I'll be going to 18*8.5 up front and 18*9.5 in back. I dont want my wheels too far in or sticking way out either.. is a 35mm or 45mm offset going to work best? I THINK the factory offset is 38mm. below is a current pic. without the upgraded wheels. I am going to order from Power Wheels Pro :: WHEELS for your PREMIER car
any help?

Second, definitely 35mm I have either 33 or 35 on mine - don't quite remember at the moment -and they are just find with a little bit of "poke" so 45 would be way off.

if im not mistaken, my mechanic told me im running 40 at the rear. no rubbing whatsoever and i dont need a spacer, just right for my taste. 20x10 with 275/30 tyres.

Thanks! Your wheels are the ones I'm after. Every place I have tried is sold out. I found a place in New Jersey. Calling them tomorrow. Hoping they have them in stock.

Good to hear man! They are Eurosport MB-8s and the reason that every place is sold out is because the foundry that made these wheels with the original molds burned down and they no longer have the original molds. I had an incident where I curbed a wheel 2 weeks after getting these last winter and it took me weeks to find just one replacement. You should be able to find the updated version that looks pretty similar from some suppliers online, I'm sure some will turn up eventually. If not, I recommend the Verde Parallax V39s for a similar machine-faced look!

35 should be fine. I'm running CLS wheels right now. 18x8.5 et28 and 18x9.5 et 33. There's no poke, they actually tuck.

Going up 0.5 inches on the wheel and down from 38mm to 35mm on offset will only change the positioning by something like .3 inches if I'm not mistaken. No big deal.

inner lip will be 3mm closer to the strut, outer lip 9mm closer to the fender.

In case you decide on a different wheel with different dimensions.
