mercedes e-350 big problems
So I have a Mercedes e-350 2007 with the engine thats affected with a bad balance shaft. Not wanting to pay the big bill at Mercedes I brought it to a trusted shop..So they replaced the balance shaft took it for a test drive then the car wouldn't start. Took it to Mercedes and they found that the ecm went out and mass airflow sensor. Mercedes said that it was most likely that the engine wasn't grounded, but no guarantee. Mercedes also found that the local shop put a bad timing chain in and on further inspection the crank gears were worn. So this shop put it together even though parts were bad....I asked them about it and they said its because they only did the work that was in the kit to replace the balance shaft....Mercedes Benz gives me another call and says my cam blocks or something has scarring (pictures bellow of the problem) Mercedes believes its the shop that did the damage ..but how am i suppose to prove it? So im 7000 dollars into the car and Mercedes is talking another $4,800 dollars just for parts for the camshaft journal(i think that's what it is see below) Mercedes also said I HAVE to buy new ones? So there is no way i can buy re-manufactured ones and put them in? sigh... Sorry for forgetting the parts bellow i've just been through so much that I could care less to remember right now

This is the kind of damage that occurs when you let a hack work on your engine. The camshaft,and cylinder head damage was most likely caused by the use of excessive sealant. A 1mm bead is more than enough. You can see all the excess in your pictures.
