I went to a "Mechanic"today they charge me 100$ for diagnostic and just said i have the high voltage, and that causes the sensors mistake. Than they said the battery is wrong this vehicle and put a new battery. Total charge for 450$ and check engine light came on again after i went home. (((((((((((((((((((((.

They said need more time and money to figure it out what is the problem!!! I'm sick of them only money for nothing!!!

I replaced both Upstream O2 sensors and throttle body, after 100 miles again codes 2237 and 2240 and the code for the throttle body 2173, i'm ready to give up with that car. Is there any solution for it?

PS. IS the high voltage codes come from the alternator?

HI I read about the high voltage gaining in O2 sensors when rich mixture is present, but voltage is only 0.8v higher. From first garage i when they told me is 17V, thats why i had a doubts about alternator.

I went to local mercedes dealer second time to diagnose and they told me to replace the both upstream o2 sensors and the throttle body and the problem will be solve, but not. As i said i replace the throttle body and both O2 sensors. I clear the codes and after couple of starts CHECK ENGINE IS ON again. Big nightmare. I can not stand this check engine light anymore.

So there has to be some connection between the throttle body, and both sensor to failure. Beside that the throttle body indirectly controlling the charge (fuel + air) burned.
In that meaning TBody failure is related to oxygen sensors failure. Correct or not. ????
