2009 E350 radiator fan not turning on. Overheating

Hey guys. Recently I noticed higher temps and realized the rad fan isn't turning on. I don't have the manual for my car and don't know where the fuse for the fan is located, so I haven't checked if it's a fuse yet. Any help would be great. Thanks

Check the thermostat. It might need replacing.

How would I check the thermostat? I'm pretty sure it opens because the large radiator hose gets under pressure when the car heats up, but the fan never kicks on.

Same thing happened to me and I replaced the fan assembly. Even when it is hot the fan isn't working.

It was the cooling fan assembly. Was able to source it locally for $480 out the door. Sucks they don't make an aftermarket fan assembly for the w211. Installed it in under 15 minutes. Car no longer runs hot. Thanks everyone.
