Question Loud moan after releasing parking brake: problem?

When I release my parking brake, I hear a pretty loud moan and it seems as if the brake takes 5 seconds or so to disengage (if I start moving immediately, kinda feels like brake is still on). After 5 seconds, no more moan.

Is this common, or do I need an adjustment? Thought I'd check since the manual doesn't tell you to wait 5 seconds for parking brake to disengage before taking off.

Thanks for the help.

p.s. I also got the sound system static when I started the car this morning.

I would definitely have it looked at by the service staff. My car doesn't do that.

I've only noticed that when the car has been washed and I don't drive it immediately and just pull it back into the garage. The next day when you release the parking brake you hear a groaning sound and the car doesn't roll. This my 3rd MB and they all do it. Its not the parking brake, its the brake pads sort-of freezing against the rotors. The parking brake is actually a drum brake within the rear rotors. I've only heard of problems with parking brakes when you don't use it, it can freeze in place...
