get rid of or keep?

Ive had my 03 e320 for 11 years now witg 143k miles on it and it still runs like a champ. I did all repairs myself. in the last two years I replaced literally every suspension part in the front and rear, the alternator, the MAF sensor, all 4 bearings, tranny/motor mounts, SBC pump. No issues/malfunctions... nothing as far as problems but my family thinks its time to get rid of it but i cant let it go. Ive invested too much, about 4k in parts in it. I do WOULD like to get a used s550 though

Just remember to get the car up and running every so often to keep everything in good shape.

I would get rid of it. Just to make it easy, I am sure someone here would even help you dispose of it.
Kind of depends where you sit financially, and how much money you want to put into the much more complicated S550 (mainly airmatic), which depends on how much you can afford to spend on an S550 and what the mileage is like on it. I think an S550 would be a hell of an upgrade for an enthusiast sake, but more expensive in a lot of respects. I would move on, I know you get attached to cars but there's always something better out there to experience. Because really in the end the car is just a car, and the experiences and memories you have with it are more important.
