2005 E320
Exclamation Getting ready to perform maintenance. Please HELP!

Hello everybody! I just recently became a new owner of a 2005 E320 base. It has about 120k miles on it. I was thinking about giving it a really good tune-up and have a couple of questions.

If I change out the ATF, do I need to replace the ATF filter as well?
Will using Lucas brand additives to the oil, gas, and ATF be a bad or good idea?
Should I seafoam clean the car?

I plan on using all the specific 2005 MB fluids I found listed such as:

2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 Auto Trans Fluid (Genuine)
http://www.nextdayauto.com/2005-merc...3-1889406.html

2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 Power Steering Fluid W0133-1850220 (Pentosin)
http://www.nextdayauto.com/2005-merc...3-1850220.html

2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 Engine Coolant / Antifreeze (Pentosin)
http://www.nextdayauto.com/2005-merc...3-1635303.html

2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 Brake Fluid W0133-1916858 (Pentosin)
http://www.nextdayauto.com/2005-merc...3-1916858.html

My objective is to empty out all four of those fluids and replace them. Then I'd like to stick some Lucas brand fuel additive in the tank and some oil synthesizer along with some Lubeguard and Dr. Tranny instant shudder fix for the transmission. My thinking is that in doing this kind of PM I may be able to avoid serious repairs down the road and keep the car running clean and efficient as possible.

So before I begin ANY OF THIS, I've come here to seek a little advice and do some research. Is this going a bit overboard? Is there something else I should check while I'm on it? Is all of this even necessary? I appreciate the responses in advance and I will also PLEASE ask that if you don't have anything constructive to add.. then F off.

Very bad to use with MB transmission fluids!!
Good to know. Can you explain why? I've seen it used in many automobiles with great results. What's different in MB case?

If you look on the w203 section it has been discussed many many times. In short MB uses top quality fluids already and very strict guidelines for all parameters a fluid can have. The transmission is very sensitive to this and can be ruined by using wrong fluids which can not lubricate properly or is to thick or thin for the application.

Just do a pan drop and filter change on the transmission and since your in the USA use shell 134 ATF as it is easy to find, MB approved for the 722.6 and 722.9 Transmission and is very cheap! (find your local shell supplier)
A good place for parts is http://www.rmeuropean.com/ and http://www.pelicanparts.com/ (your parts site seems overpriced)
Make sure you use correct coolant, brake and PS fluid as the correct stuff is not that expensive and with all those systems the wrong stuff could potentially get very expensive. Are you going to do the rear differential?

My C320 which has same engine and I believe your 05 has the same 722.6 (5 speed) as well. I did Fluid changes at specified intervals and it now has 215,000 Miles and is perfect so I doubt using any of them would help.
