RIMS on E500 4Matic

Hi, so I bought a set of staggered rims without doing my research on tirerack.com so my question is Would it damage my car in any way???

They are front: 245/35r19x8.5 and rear: 275/30r19x9.5

They are the AMG look alike rims...

This has been covered a LOT on the forums before. The short answer is they will probably be okay. The long answer is that staggered on 4-Matic will be fine as long as you're within the tolerance of 1/10th of an inch rolling diameter between the front and back, so you'll need to verify that and calculate it out. ESP is also pretty good at telling you when your rolling diameter is out of spec as it will throw you an error if it's a serious problem.

If you check out this thread it will answer it for you: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...dth-tires.html

Correct. As long as front and rear diameters are the same or close (within 1/10 of an inch), then width does not matter.

For example, stock 4matic size of 245/40-18 is 25.72". So to comply with 4matic, rear staggered size could be 275/35-18 (at 25.58", a bit more than 1/10" less) or 285/35-18 (at 25.85", a bit more than 1/10" more) - both not identical, but close enough.

Once you get to 19" or 20" wheels, then sizes become 245/35-19 & 285/30-19 (these are basically identical at 25.75" & 25.73" respectively) or 245/30-20 & 285/25-20 (235/35-20 & 275/30-20 are identical at just under 26.5" and can be used on stock W211 too).

To put it simply, for W211 4matic (same for W212 4matic as well) rear staggered tire needs to be 40mm wider than front (add 40 to first number) while aspect ratio needs to be "1 size" lower than front (subtract 5 from the second number).

Yes, you are right it's been discussed before, but no exact answer until now. I even called MBUSA yesterday and they told me it wasn't possible it had to be 18 or 17... The guy didn't even made sense, but thank you for giving me a good answer.

The 4-matic senses differences in rolling diameter. In TireRack, there are matched sets of staggered tires to minimize the difference in rolling diameter.
