Hi I have a 2003 e500 and I am trying to replace the fuel pump. I found a video but the guy skips over how to remove the fuel pump to put the new one in. I am having a hard time removing it. Am I just not applying enough pressure possibly? Does it need to be loosened with something like a flat head first?

There is a tool, do a google search for "w211 mercedes benz fuel pump removal tool." Under images, the first item that pops up is what you'll need to remove the cover.

Thanks so much for replying! I figured it out. I used a wooden dowel (spelling?) And a hammer. I put the dowel on the ridge and hit it with the hammer until it turned.
