Windshield washers

I have a bit of an interesting problem with my car's windshield washers. When I purchased the car, the driver side one did not work at all but the passenger side worked as normal (strong pressure). Carmax, in their infinite wisdom , replaced the driver one twice with no improvement. While waiting on the 3rd washer nozzle, they decided to "help me out" by swapping them around. At that point, neither worked properly.

Ultimately they sent it to a Mercedes dealership who replaced both nozzles. Still, neither work properly. They both have weak jets of water.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

When replacing the nozzles did anyone think to check/clear the hoses.

They claim this was done at least 2 different times. I'm at a loss.

Check the splitter.. Because i believe when it pumps the fluid it goes from single to dual.

Thanks. Given the amount of work that has been put into this, I'm wondering if it isn't the fluid itself. There seems to be plenty of liquid that comes out of the nozzles but it just isn't the strong stream it should be. I'm flushing the system with just plain water.

Any leaks on the hoses? Spray and after that pop the hud and check! My passenger side was zip and driver was weak, I found the hoses connection to the passenger side was getting loose after some uses.

Nope, no leaks. I don't think proper diagnosis has been done even though it's been in the shop 4 times (4!) for this crap.

Check and see if your new nozzles have a chrome ring around. It appears they changed the design of the nozzles. I just bought two for my car and immediately noticed the difference. I have not installed them yet but it appears that the hole is larger.

Well, if it's not the nozzles & not the hoses (no loose connections or kinks anywhere) ....that only leaves the pump! I'm sure if you take it to the dealer or a reputable independent and have them remove and clean out the washer tank & replace the pump your problem would be fixed. I know something like this would bug me until I was able to get it fixed.

Even if you have some sort of extended warranty plan, not sure this is something that would be "covered". It would be worth it to get it fixed on your own (not through CarMax), so you can enjoy the car without any nagging issues.
