Bluetooth Car Kit Installation

I have Sony Ericsson Z600 phone with Bluetooth and would like to install a Bluetooth car kit in my 2004 E500 with Nav. Has anyone installed Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Car Handsfree kit HCB-30, combined with Advanced Music Mute HCE-16 to interact with your car stereo system to automatically mute it when a call comes in? Or just a Bluetooth HCB-30 car kit with a separate speaker, or any other Bluetooth car kit, such as Nokia. Is it compatible with the HK radio, how good it sounds, any tips for installation?

have you looked at the Parrot systems (buy.com sells them). Integration with the proprietary MB audio system is a stretch I think.

Thank you NYCA for a tip. No, I have not seen Parrot systems before. Looks as a very easy solution. Has anyone used it, is it good?

I've bought the Parrot CK3000 and am planning to install it when my new E320CDI is delivered in January. I considered the fully integrated kit, but as in the UK at least it's a Nokia only option and expensive so decided to opt for an after market one. I've seen lots of good reports on the Parrot Kits so decided to buy one of theirs.

Turning to installation... Everything I read tells me that installing any phone kit in the new E will be difficult and next to impossible if you are looking to integrate with the audio system. I always like a challenge.

Does anyone out there have any experience of hooking after market equipment to the Audio Gateway? Anyone seen a solution to interfacing to the CAN so you can use the steering wheel controls?

Any thoughts appreciated!!

I think the automatic muting of the stereo is the key problem.

Is the difficulty just that the audio gateway is tucked away in an inaccessible part of the boot (sorry trunk if you live the other side of the pond) and the cables are non ISO or is there something else? The parrot kit comes with a relay box that physically disconnects the front speakers from the normal amp and connects them to the phone amp whenever there is a call ( at least I think that's wat is does).
