Cast Wheels, Stay Away From Them

I bought a set of wheels from an IP here. Great transaction and everything went smoothly. Had them about a week and the wife ran through a pothole and bent two wheels. I replaced them. (Really difficult to do since the IP stopped selling them).

Going through Jersey yesterday on 78N I hit an ungraded spot of road and broke - not cracked - BROKE the barrel of one of the wheels. They are 18", so it wasn't like I was running 20's.

I am all for saving money - but I will never buy cast aftermarket wheels again.

I tried this route as well. AMG knockoffs 5 spoke. 3 of the 4 are bent just from winter roads, not pot holes. I can understand pot holes, but winter roads? You couldn't tell they were bent until you put them on the tire balancer...then it became obvious. Never again. Still looking for their replacements. MY e350 deserved better...lol.

Yeah. I was a little more than upset.

I'll probably replace these with a set of Forgestars or something similar.
