Streaming Audio (Bluetooth)

Anyone have any experience with MoBridge?

I am thinking about purchasing the M2.Pro Most. This will eliminate my CD changer and allow me to stream audio from my iphone and control through the CD changer menu.

I have one and love it. It's awesome. I didn't have a phone prewired to begin with, so it added a bluetooth phone, bluetooth streaming audio, and a wired ipod. Seamless control/display using the command/steering wheel/instrument cluster. I also have the smartkey starter. Had both installed thru a Midcity engineering installer in my area.

Ordered mine

Getting the M2.Pro Most installed next week. Can't wait since I can't get Sirius to work. FM and CDs suck. The ipod connector plays way too low as well.

So looking forward to having a modern audio setup.

This works even better

Hi,

I installed this in my car and it was the best thing I did!

http://mcar.us/

Works perfectly and a great alternative to mobridge.

Has streaming and wired usb connection. All steering wheel controls work.

I just sits in my glovebox, with the 3mm aux jack connected to it. Auto pairs when I power it up, set my COMAND to AUX, and stream away. Used it today on my way into the office. Works all the time, every time. Have to charge it once a month or so... big deal.

Unfortunately, my SL doesn't have an AUX input or I'd have two of these. I have to use the iTrip in that car...

I understand what you are looking for and I wish it wasn't needed. I find it hard to believe that Mercedes didn't allow us to stream audio off the bat with what we have. I do not have the iPod in the glovebox, although I have factory Nav. I loaded all my music on an extra computer disk thingy I had laying around and listen to my iPod music via the radio slot at the top. (for some reason I can't think of the name of the little disk thing, but I guess you know what I am talking about.

For example, When my Benz is connected via bluetooth to my phone I can take calls, talk to Siri, etc, all through my car stereo. If I can have my text read to me through the car system, as well as give, and take direction from an entity, it seems I should be able to also hear my music via the same method.

No I am not a tech guy, and I do not know what is involved with how that would work, or why it doesn't, but it bothers me that I can hear so many things from my car, & phone except music.

Good luck with your search though.

Vent over.

Not sure that the Blackberry unit has a battery. I had to wire in a USB port to run it from. I had done that prior anyway. That is a pretty cool version you use.

What year is your E350? Is that the car you want to stream with Bluetooth? I have a 2011 E350 that I managed to get Bluetooth streaming on and I'm in Delaware... if you need a hand.

Hi guys, I've been thinking on ways to do this! The M2.Pro is interesting but I couldn't find a vendor in the US, the MyCar seem similar and cheaper, I'm wondering how much to install, or if I could install it!

I have the 30-pin connector in my glove compartment, but doesn't charge. I was wondering if the NazTech would charge my ipod and be able to receive Pandora for instance through bluetooth and play into my system! I have the Logic7.

Any ideas/comments are welcome!

And Maniaxxx did you get it installed?

For a $100, your iPhone music will work with COMMAND using the Tune2Air. Reviews for the product are outstanding.

Doesn't Tune2Air require the MB Ipod integration kit? If so, that's not going to work for me.

Indeed, you need the 30-pin iPod connector in the glove box for the Tune2Air to work. Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...-/261572747942

The Tune2Air 30-pin connector I received last week is starting to annoy me already.

Does anyone else who has this unit have any insight?

1. The exchange between Music streaming via Tune2Air and receiving calls via the MB Bluetooth woks. However, I get a recurring 5-second "moment of silence" every few minutes where I can't hear a word the other party on the call is saying. It appears the Tune2Air is trying to take back BT control from the MB BT during this moment of silence.

2. I can't pause/stop the music! Tapping pause in the iOS Music app will pause the music for 3 seconds, after which the music starts playing again automatically.

I've emailed Tune2Air Support about this, but so far their support team is all air. No response.

From my experience with the Mercedes Benz Media Interface Plus, the moment of silence is a MB head issue. I got tired of the issue with hearing callers, I finally disconnected MB Media Plus. However, I have the same issue even when my Pebble watch is connected to my phone. I have to turn off the BT on my pebble in order to have a conversation.

I read somewhere (probably here) that the older MBs have issues determining which device to communicate on, thus causing the delay. I have a 2009 MB and can only speak directly to my year.

Not sure about issue 2.

Ray

Update on Tune2Air for anyone interested or for future readers. BTW - I have a 09 E350.

Issue #2 seems to be an MB problem. I disconnected the Tune2Air and used a wired connection to the iPod 30-pin connector and iPhone. I still couldn't stop music. So the Tune2Air is not at fault here.

I tried the Naztech i40 worse audio quality ever! my old tape adapter back in the day sounded better. The adapter does not let you change songs just gives error on display but audio does come through.
