AMG 'Style' Bits
AMG 'Style' Bits
Howdy,
I'm getting ready to embark on replacing the front/rear aprons and side skirts on my '03 E500 with AMG replacements.
Can anyone tell me if this is a straight nutz & bolts R&R, or is there any welding involved.
TIA.

Straight bolt on replacements. Get the AMG kits from CECWheels.com The AMG kits include all needed parts and hardware. Some items like front and rear bumper rub strips re-use the existing parts on your OEM bumpers. Care must therefore be taken in their removal.
hmmm yeah dont get it from cecwheels. dont mean to shy a possible customer away but i dont want a fellow mbworlder to get screwed over on price. cecwheels is a tuner for the rich and famous. where money is of no issue and they screw you over majorly on price. They have really bad reviews and they dont finnish their job when promised.
go with harris im sure he will pm you with details on what prices he can give you. or directly from mercedes or the guys from evosport.
Legacy sorry again for knocking on cecwheels but i thought id give vato some price saving advice.

No offence taken. I could not immediately think of anyone else to buy from. I do know that the kits from AMG are complete. Getting some of these AMG parts from a source other than M-B can actually be cheaper. The parts manager at the dealer I use told me that this is true.
Thanx!
Thanx all for your replies.
I found that CEC was the cheapest, plus I asked for a 'good guy' discount and they knocked off an additional 5%.
The exhaust and rear apron are supposed to be in after the first of the year.
I'll provide an update should CEC fall short.
Cheers.
