Putting suspension back to factory after lowering links

So i had air-ride lowering links installed on my 2004 E500 a few months back. I'm leaving for college in a week and i'd like to put the factory links back on and raise the car back to factory because the car will be driven a few days a week by my dad and I don't want the car to be lowered when he does. Would someone be able to help/explain how to install my factory links back on? I've tried before but couldn't seem to get the little ball to fit into the link. Thanks!!

You may be better off just adjusting the links to ride higher rather than swapping them out.
