the Honda Nav can display you the step by step directions (like a mapquest printout) so you can anticipate where you are going

Yeah, if you hit any of the softkeys while it is navigating, then press Info, it will tell you vital stats about your destination, then hit Route (I believe), which will give you the map route. Then another button for List, which will give you the turn by turn instructions.
