Hey guys dads e class tranny seems to be screwed up. When putting in reverse or drive, it jerks really hard. He drove it for about a mile and it was perfectly fine, but the gears engage really hard.

Pressure control solenoid C came up as the code. Code P0798**


Any ideas on a fix?

Check level/condition of ATF if fine, Electrohydraulic Control Module (ECM) may need to be replaced.

I believe you will need the dipstick to check the fluid level. Some make their own, but you can buy it on eBay for around $10-$20. OEM is around $58.
