Remotes don't work on W211 E55 keyless go
I have recently purchased the car, it is a MY06 E55 with keyless go.
3 of the 4 door handles do not work properly, only one rear unlocks and locks via the buttons.
I have replaced the batteries in both remotes ( 4 batteries all up )
the keyless part works fine, doors unlock and lock and car starts.
put the key in the ignition and the car also starts.
Press the unlock button on the fob, and the little LED lights up , but no response from the car. any buttons on both remotes, nothing at all.
Do these need to be reconfigured ?
I checked Fuse 8 in the trunk as previously suggested and that is fine, when I pulled it the siren went off !
Is there a chance that someone has turned it off ?
Any suggestions would be great thanks

I understand both keys operate properly, only one KG rear door handle operates properly. You “may” need to replace 3 malfunctioning door handles. Having someone check with MB Star Diagnosis System (SDS) will provide definitive answer. Check your PM.

I replaced the door handles and now the buttons on the handles all work.
However the remote still does not work.
the light on the remote flashes when you press the buttons. I have replaced the batteries, but still no go.
Sometimes when you hold the remote to touching the drivers door it will work, but still rarely.
The second remote also is the same.
both remotes work in the keyless go part and the blades work the car, and the key in the ignition works. just the actual buttons do not lock/unlock and open the boot.
Is there any way to see if the car is receiving the signal ?

If you look at the drivers door handle you'll see a black square next to the blade tumbler put the key directly up to that and see if they unlock. That checks your infrared signal from the key. If that works it's possible that the radio frequency antennas are faulty or there's a problem with that system. It's also possible that the infrared could be bad in that door also. I agree to let someone with an sds check those signals.
