Center caps
Hi guys,
I got some new center caps for my wheels but there is a problem.
The back wheel fits fine but the front does not fit all that well. You know that little spherical hub thats under the center cap of the front wheels, well that its what is causing the center caps to stick out just a couple of mm out of the wheel while the back ones are flush against the wheel. Anyone run into this in the past?
Is the a way I can replace that hub or whatever its called with a smalled one?
What the heck is that thing anyway, I know all cars have them I just don't know the function of it.

Could these be "dust caps" that your thinking of???? These are used to keep road debrie from your wheel bearings... I'm still waiting for my ride so I'm not sure if mercedes have these or not... If so, you may be able to use a rubber or plastic mallot and tap these in to seat them better... This will more than likely give you the clearence needed....
