2008 e350 Intake Replacement?
Hey
My car is having trouble starting after sitting for a couple of hours. After it starts everything runs fine.I took my car to an Independent which ran sds and found my intake manifold needs to be replaced. My car is still under an extended warranty with a third party. My question is this...
1. Should I take it to the stealership to get repaired?
2. Should I take it to the Independent to get repaired?

You also may want to discuss this opportunity with your extended warranty company before you come back here whining about all the miss treatment and how you got screwed by this or that and this never happened with my diesel lawnmower!!

Are you sure the intake manifolds are bad or is it the intake manifold gaskets? There's a big difference. The answer to you question depends on what's covered by your 3rd party warranty. If it's covered, then it doesn't matter if you take it to the dealer or the indy, if it's not, then the indy will probably be cheaper.
