Is the SBC pump Reprogramable for another car?
Hello,
I had an SBC pump failure on our 2003 W211 Guard (Factory Armored).
The dealership wanted almost 3,000 dollars for a new pump plus instalation. I found one on ebay for 800 dollars new but with a different part number. The seller verified with his local dealership that the part would work on my car as I had given him my VIN.
When the part arrived it was phisically identical to the one that failed but my dealership said it would not work because the SOFTWARE was different. The said my part was for a CLS.
The ebay seller said the part can be reprogramed for a W211 E class. Is this possible? where would I be able to get this done? How is it done?
