DIY, non MB mechanic or must be dealership fix?
I have two of several typical breakdowns on my 07 e550. SAS sensor and centerfuge oil leak.
Both are intermittent with the orange dash light and truck like ride with the SAS and the oil leak is only during cold weather (now) -- from the centerfuge.
If these are dealer only fixes, how many hours for labor is fair? After calling around I get very different quotes depending on dealers and am not sure if being taken or not.
Centerfuge oil leak seems pretty ordinary, but replacing the SAS by a non MB mechanic or myself worries me.
