Traded my W211 for a W212

After 8+ years of ownership I parted ways with my 2006 E320 CDI on Friday and picked up a W212 E550 4matic. I had been having suspension and brake issues, and after having completely re-built the front end most of the issues were gone, or so I thought untill a co-worker asked what was wrong with my fender and I see where the tire impacted the fended and caused $650 worth of body damage. Suspension shop adjusted my shocks further up, but I lost confidence in their work and the parts I put on. Then my wife was having issues with her key-fob and the dash not working. There wasn't any issue with her fob, but the dash was hit or miss as to whether it would work. Wednesday while stopped my brake pedal went to the floor and I got SRS and SBC warnings. They went away when I restarted the car, but that was the final straw.

My E320 was a great car, my first mercedes, and I do miss it; although the new E550 sure makes it easier to bear the loss. Strangely I really miss the rear-door ashtrays, although I never used them they we so wonderfully over-designed and unnecessary - I wish the W212 had them.
