Windhsield wipers
The last couple of days slow speed on windshield wipers does not work, that's rain sensing setting, I believe. Regular and fast settings are working just fine. Any ideas?

This may have to do more with rain sensing function than with switch. The following thread describes my exact issue. So, in a couple of days we're getting more rain, so I will test under real conditions.

wipers
My wipers on ML350 turn on by themselves when on rain sensing when there is no rain. They just go across the glass once and then stop. Anyone have ideas???? This does not happen every time I drive the car, usually only the first time I drive the vehicle for the day and it doesn't happen every day.

Try this.
Mike T.
With engine running and all passenger doors closed, starting at 0 turn on wipers to #3 position,
then put the switch in the 0 position then put it in the auto #1 (rain sensor position) then have
someone splash water on the windshield as the doors have to be closed to reset tins function.
Then they should function normally.

Hey Mike, after reading your post, I took a break from work and went out and tried it, and it worked just as you prescribed. It was raining hard so had the convenience of plenty of water
And yes Barry, I attempted this as I was driving, not while parked.
Thanks guys!

I am happy that it worked. I found the information on one of these forums when I had my windshield replaced and the rain sensor did not work. Ended up putting in a second (different brand) windshield and did the reset which worked.
