DIY oil cooler leak
Hey guys, I’m trying to find any usable information for oil coolergaskets replacements. I took my car tothe deal they checked and diagnosed the problem. Their quote was $4,400.00 so Ihave to do it myself.
If anyone did this, can you tell me what should I expect?
Also I would like to know a few thinks:
1. What gaskets should I buy? Besides the coolant O-ringsand manifolds.
2. I know I would need some cleaning done, what wouldbe the best cleaner for the alley and intakes?
3. Do I need to pull out tranny and clean it?
4. What should I expect when disconnecting turbo?
5. Should I disconnect battery?
6. Do I need any special tools?

Thank you N Jay, I used a lot from that forum to DIY my oil cooler change.
Now, when I started the engine check light came out. Is that normal? Do I need to reset it? Or something is wrong? Also, the glow plug light is constantly on. Do you know what could be wrong?
