Opinion on this 2008 E350

http://live.cdemo.com/brochure/idZ20140513dicslolf#

what is your opinon on the two tone interior (black and tan?)

I can also get this in black exterior color around same km

Opinions on reliability of the 2008 E350, also I was looking for E500, will I disappointed with the E350 power?

If you want a sports car you will be disappointed with the power.
If you want a smooth highway cruiser, you will be happy.

Colors are a personal matter.

I may not make it to the next stop light as fast as a Porsche, but I will make it to the next city just as fast!

I think that's a pretty standard color combination when you have black leather.

Personally I prefer non-black colors, but black was a pretty popular interior and exterior color.

The 2008 is a pretty good choice, only thing better for the W211 platform would be the 2009 as that had the updated command over the 2008.

They stopped making the E500 back in 2006. Those had airmatic and SBC brakes, two expensive items to fix. The E550 still has airmatic but in 2007 they got rid of SBC brakes. E350 doesn't have airmatic except for the rears on wagons.

Just drive the E350 and see what you think. It's a little different than other cars, I feel the gas pedal is a little dead, if you want it to move, you really have to put your foot into it, but if you punch it from a stop, it does do 0-60 in 6.5 so it's decent.

Anyway for this particular one, it's a decent choice, has the P2 package which is the Bixenon headlamps with keyless go and headlamp washers. Make sure all the door handles work with keyless go and that the button locks the doors. No panorama roof, but has has the parktronic and the folding rear seats. Also has real leather, most of them just had MB-Tex which is a fake leather. Has the wiring for bluetooth, check for the puck in the center console and also look for the ipod connection in the glove box. It's not listed, but sometimes the dealer put it in. Also has the power trunk closer. It's pretty well loaded, just missing a couple options like wood steering wheel, voice control, rear side blinds and panorama. Very hard to find one with everything and finding one with the P2 package isn't that common. Most of them just came with the P1 package and one or two options.

Parktronic was an option in 2008. Most of them do not have it. You can tell it has it from the sensors in the front and rear bumper plus it has the off switch next to the shifter, if you look at most other cars, they don't have it. Most 2008 had the P1 package which was just navigation, heated seats, satellite radio and rear electric blinds.

A Keyless-Go P2 is a good find for an 08.
When we bought ours (looking at 07's in 2010) there were only 2 for sale in the country.

Leather is nice, but MB-Tex is not bad.

There's a vin decoder over at:

http://www.neoriginal.ru/cat/mb

The feature code for parktronic is 220. Keyless go is 889, power trunk closer 881/887, headlamp washer is 600, bixenon with curve illumination is 615, 619. If you find 889, you will find 615 and 619 which means it has the P2 package. Panorama roof is 413, regular sunroof is 414. For bluetooth, it's 389. Folding rear seats, 287, wood steering wheel 289. Voice control 396. Side blinds are pretty rare, can't remember the code for that one and can't find one that has it right now.
