Question about check engine light
I have a 2008 E350 4matic and the check engine light came on. Took it to Autozone to read the code. Code came back and said it needed spark plugs. I replaced the plugs and the check engine light has remained on. Two questions, 1) Is there any way to clear the check engine light without an OBD scanner? and 2) Will it clear itself after a few days of driving if the spark plugs solved the problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What was the actual code? Never trust the parts guys at those places to know exactly what's wrong. For instance a misfire could be interpreted as needing spark plugs but there could be other reasons also. Just go back there and ask to borrow the scanner. Usually they're not allowed to clear the code for you, but will let you borrow the scanner and you can clear the code yourself after it's read. Write down the code before clearing it and then do a google search and see what the code says.
