It's actually a DVD. What year map are you looking for and have you checked the classified section, as well as Ebay?
Also, keep in mind that if you still have the 2004 map, you'll probably have to update the Comand firmware as well as the nav processor software, in the trunk.

I know this is a dumb question but I gotta know ......I am New to the car so I gotta Figure out where everything goes. where do I put the CD? Does it go in the CD slot right above the screen or is it located in the trunk ... And if its in the trunk, where exactly do I find everything ....is it behind the paneling? Btw thank you every one for the replies
