I have a 2003 W211 whose audio gateway I suspect is on its way out (audio drops out intermittently, intermittent static, intermittent error messages on the head unit). Is there a simple way to get the part number for the audio gateway without having to pull the gateway out? My VIN is WDBUF65J43A199880.

 

Here is a list of compatible units, start @ 2118701889 > earlier units were modified at this point to correct overheating defect. MB remanufactured is available (211870188988) and unit may need to be coded using MB DAS to match MOST (radio, CDC, etc. loop) in your vehicle.
