Pad wear sensor number?

Hi, I've some question about sensors.

I own 09 e350 4m, which have avantgarde package, but NO sport or AMG package. So front calipers are just one piston.

So I wonder 'how many sensors are needed in front caliper?'

Sport packages' 4-piston have two sensors, for the left and right both. And I find part with their VIN, the parts search program indicate two sensors, 2115400717 and 2115401717. But with my cars VIN, there is just one part number, 2115401717.

I'm not good at DIY and because of my countrys' free maintenance service, I always use dealership. And this means I never see my cars caliper

Anyone who own e350 4matic with single piston caliper, please let me know how many sensor your car have. Thanks!

This is the parts chart as well as parts list for a 2009 E350 w/4Matic (Click HERE), and it only shows one sensor per side.

However, it is feasible that the chart and parts list you see obive is for a car manufactured for the U.S. and your country's production might vary. (Example, Mercedes Benz does not have to omply with U.S. Federal regulations dictating use of ABS, Seat Belts, Air bags... etc. So it is possible that designs can vary). As always, your best bet is to call your nearest dealer, provide your VIN number and get the answer straight from the source.

That said, if you click on the "More Info" link or the line "Brake Pad Sensor", it will list several international versions for that particular part number.

Edited to add: You posted that you have a 2009 and yet your Avatar lists a 2008... So run your own search depending on the correct year.

One sensor front, right; one rear right – same part # 2115401717 – just as your VIN indicates.
