Remote not working to lock & unlock doors & no AM radio reception
Gents,
Just picked up a very nice '05 E320 4MATIC wagon which was sold new and serviced by the same dealer it's whole life. Got traded back in to them and due to having high miles (168K), they elected to wholesale it, so I nabbed it and am so far quite pleased with it. The only things that are presently amiss are the door locks not working with the remote key (batteries are new in the key and the red light blinks when I press a button on it so I assume the key itself is ok) and there is no AM radio reception. Since the door locks work fine when actuated from within the vehicle and the radio works fine on FM, are my two problems correlated? Any thoughts on where to head in terms of diagnosing this would be much appreciated.
