driver seat not moving
Just got a 03 e500 couple of issues need correcting as priority
Driver seat not moving forward and backward. actually the only adjustment that works is the back tilt forward and back and seat height up and down
so only 4 way adjustable of the 10 way.
The dash display say. Malfunction electrical consumer switched off.

Could be the door controls, seat controls, loose connection ect....
Best bet would be checking the obvious things then getting it on a star machine so you can test it thoroughly.
I did hear that the early w211 seat controls like to fail so you may want to research that some.

took it to a shop. replaced.
Seat control module
Seat motor. fore and aft motor
I bought a used door switch for good measure.
so that ended up about $600 in parts and labor.

"Malfunction electrical consumer switched off", when mine had this warning, it was a problem with the battery. its the cars way of saving electricity from other stuff thats not that important to still be able to run the car. hope you had everything fixed.

I replaced the door switch.. the seat started to move for a minute. then it a blew fuse for the seat control
Took it to a shop. They replaced the control module. The seat started to move again. then they see smoke from the fore-aft motor.
Then replace the motor.. Now it is all good.
I set the seat not to move all the way back everytime I turn off the car.. (Easy Entry /Exit feature) I figure it is a waste in motor operation time. since I dont need the seat to go all the way back to get out.
