Brakes Dragging

What I thought were my brakes dragging on the front right maybe not so.

The caliper boot was old or melted I could not tell so I replaced the caliper the rotor disk and brake pads.

When I loosened the adjuster for the hub it was found to be a good 20 degrees past "prime"

The bearings were repacked and the run-out set to 1 thou. Only as an experiment As I'm trying to find why my brakes are making slight contact with the Rotor without primary or secondary braking from man or machine

Again the heat is building in the rotor and hub

If I replace the hub as an Assbly and find the heat build up again I suppose the sbc is the next logical place to go

I have replaced the brake flex line as a precaution also

The hub replacement which was overdue did not effect rotor alignment to the caliper.

The caliper piston does not retract 100% which would be required with new brakes and a new rotor and to keep the disks from making slight contact on the rotor.

Without a star I am at a disadvantage

Yes I have had that , but not on a Mercedes, however, It is almost always the rubber flexible brake line that causes it. The internal liner of the brake line collapses upon release of the brake pedal then is sucked closed, thus stopping the release of the caliper. The exterior of the hose may look good.

Are you saying you have replaced the two front rubber brake lines that attach to the front calipers?

The front right brake flex line is replaced and the front left is original.

The sbc a7/y32 right front separating valve error was active and sbc replaced, also with a worn mb caliper at the time.
The made in US Brake Caliper was also not fully retracting and replaced with new mb caliper.
