Navigation 2013/2014 v14 disc
I inserted a new North America nav disc (2013/2014, v13 I think) in my NTG1 W211 2003 E320 navigation drive in the trunk. On the comand display there were two update progress bars but they were not moving at all. They were stuck at no progress. I left the car for 15 minutes like that before giving up. I then reinserted my old v12 disc and everything returned to normal, suggesting nothing was corrupted or half-updated.
My head unit is an Euro-comand still running 04/15. So now I am wondering if the initial update with the new disc got stuck because my head unit runs old software or is it the trunk drive that needs an update?
I would not mind updating to 06/30 on the hu but do not want to lose the ability to do vim. If someone confirms this update is necessary for v13 and later discs I will do it of course but in that case I need someone in the NY metro area with a developer mode Star Diagnose. If you have one or know someone pls let me know. Thanks.
