Our Loss - Your Opportunity
This was our beloved E350, over 6.5 years and 85,000 miles (note the AMG style wheels we added).
Then, a few weeks ago, this happened. My wife was trying to pull out from a driveway enough to see any oncoming traffic, when a GMC Yukon came along and sliced off the very front end. Ninty degree impact from left to right, sort of "shaving" off the fascia to the radiator crossmember.
From the serpentine belt back, untouched
Even the fenders were spared!
The repairs exceeded the value guideline, so it was totaled. The insurance/salvage company didn't care what it rolled away on so I saved the wheels with tires in great shape. 245/45-17 Michelin Pilot Sport AS3.....7/32nds on the two front and 9/32nds on the two rear, which were newer. Great ride with excellent handling!
So, the AMG style wheels (from Powerwheels Pro) and tires are ready to clear out of the garage. $500 takes the whole set. Zero curb rash but they could use a good cleaning. At this price, please no haggling...let's just move them out. I can meet for local pickup or can ship, but at your cost.
Please PM me if interested. I'm in suburban Detroit.

Luckily, they didn't care what wheels were on it for salvage, so I had our shop swap the old snow tires which would have needed replacing this year, and which were on low-cost wheels.

Thank you. The car had been a gift from me to my wife, so it held special meaning. When the insurance company totaled it, they took the title and told us the car would be taken for salvage. I passed by the shop a few days later, and saw that it was gone. I imagine parts will wind up among many other cars at some point.
Sorry about your car hope you all are OK.

Sorry to hear that sportstick, I remember you were one of the first people to answer my questions on here when I was deciding between a 2008 C class and a 2007 E class, glad no one was hurt but that sucks =\ Any idea what will replace it?

My wife looked at the new C and S, as well as the current gen E and somehow doesn't feel drawn to any of the MBs as she was when the W211 was being sold. She went and drove the Audi A6 3.0 Quattro and it just connected with her on several levels. The order is in and production is expected mid-June June. But, we'll miss this particular E Class.....

Yes, we were lucky that the hit was so far forward and perpendicular that it was more of a sudden shove back at the driver seat.

(Outside of 3 TPMS sending unit failures since November, the ML is flawless... Cold A/C, great transmission performance, and really decent gas milage. Obviously a little "trucky" to drive, with very light over assisted steering, but everything is very well designed and brilliantly executed.)

Thanks for the good wishes....not a dumb question at all! I believe the sensors are the same from 2008 to 2010, so it should work....BUT....I believe I have a firm buyer who plans to make a payment tomorrow, and also have two others who are waiting, just in case. So, it is not likely that these will be available. Once the deal is done, I will modify this thread. Thank you.

These wheels/tires were fully paid today by the first forum member who inquired. Thanks to all who took the time to offer understanding and support for our car, and who inquired about the wheels/tires.
