PLEASE HELP. Cooling water and gearbox oil mixing
PLEASE HELP. I`ve got a mercedes w211 2002 e270cdi model with automatic transmission. The problem that I`ve got is that it`s mixing the cooling water with the gearbox oil. It`s the second time that I`ve changed the gearbox, radiator, hose pipes..... Can someone please suggest me how these two are mixing together? Thanks in advance

I know that the w203 chassis with the Valeo radiator had this issue around 2002-03 and am not 100% sure but think I heard that this issue happens on the w211 as well. What year did you do the repair the first time and where did you get the parts.

Assuming trans. cooler(that attaches to Radiator) broken, then water will meets the oil there..?!!?
prefer to remove the Radiator & check the cooler Room...!

It's always possible when ATF is cooled by engine coolant (and very known issue W203, W211, W209 before 9/2003), that's why someones have changed air cooled ATF rads...
