W211 E240 2004 Speaker upgrade, ohm questions
Hello guys, I would like your opinions please.
So, i am looking to upgrade my stock audio speakers(OEM not Harman Kardon) on 2004 E240 V6 W211.
Since i dont want to spend too much, and dont want to go aftermarket, i am thinking of buying 4 used Harman Kardon door speakers and 2 tweeters, which came with Logic7 installed on similar W211 and replace my OEM speakers, tweeter.
1/So i dont know if the HK speakers is direct replacement for the OEM speaker i already have?
2/Do i need to replace the AMP as well? the Becker AMP A2118704289 is about $150 more. While all 4 HK speakers and 2 tweeter are $110.
3/What is the ohm rating for OEM speakers and tweeter? I believe HK speakers and tweeter are 2 ohms

Don't buy the HK speakers just go with a good quality aftermarket will be much easier and probably sound better in the end.
If you do HK you really should buy the HK amp and add all the HK speakers which means doing a ton of rewiring of your car. (fiber from HU to AMP if not already in place, Speakers will need wire going to trunk instead of HU ect.)
