I have a 2003 E500 without Nav, CD player and cassette. It has the in dash 6disc changer.

My issue is that the radio will occasionally turn off and back on after about 30 seconds. A total reset w the MB logo.

I was hoping I can just upgrade to a newer double din unit but it may be cost prohibitive if my car has MOST.

1st question is how do I tell?
2nd question is there a simple fix for the radio on/off problem?

1--you call a dealer with your VIN.
2--yes, replace the radio.
