ESP/ABS error + transmission limp mode

2006 E350 Mercedes Benz
ESP/ABS error + transmission limp mode

Have a 2006 E350 w/ 123k miles on it. Flashing ABS/EPS malfunction along with "rear brake light substitute bulb on". When I start the car and shift into reverse - gives a big clunk, and then stays in first gear only in Drive mode - sounds like transmission is in limp mode.
Coincidentally, had my brake pads/sensors changed recently.
Had the error codes diagnosed and got back the following:
6210: ABS antilock braking system control
4A42: fault in CAN communication with control unit CGW
54F0: CAN communication with control unit transmission control
C225C: Event: ABS control

Appreciate any suggestions on an "easy fix" vs taking it to dealer on flatbed and spending mucho $'s. Some posts suggest could be faulty brake switch? Sounds like some sort of electrical/controller error given all this stuff at the same time!

How old is your battery?
Is your transmission fluid level okay?
Sounds to me like a conductor plate/valve body issue.
However knowing exactly which faults set these lights off and which ones are current and stored would be helpful. STAR

I think it is better to take your car to have a check, and you can also buy some diagnostic tool to check by yourself, such as Autel MaxiCheck Pro, it includes EPB/ABS/SRS/SAS/TPMS/DPF. Hope it is helpful to you.

I had multiple errors like this and I eventually found the problem was due to several gallons of rainwater in the driver's side well under the seat (you have to wonder what the Mercedes' designers were thinking about when they placed all of the sensitive electronics in a place where water collects):

I live in Houston and, like all rubber products, they turn to hockey-puck material. In particular the three drain plugs in the bottom of the well which now only work when you physically push on them. I'm not saying this is your problem but it's worth a look.
