Technical Help Needed PLEASE!
OK, I'm using a rear aluminum subframe from an 06 E500 in a custom application. I would like to run (ideally) a 3.27 gear ratio or somewhere thereabouts with 210mm axles. What year/make/model differential should I be looking for? It needs to fit the sub, and it must accept the 210mm axles. I don't care if it's open or LSD, but I need anything over 3.06 ratio. Curious what your working on but what you need to do is just search for every year and engine configuration. The info is out there on the interwebs but I haven't seen it all together or anything.

Just a little something I've taken on as a personal challenge, really. I've read countless threads about people TALKING about doing what I'm trying to do, but haven't found any threads where anyone actually attempted it. This is just the final piece of the puzzle before I start assembly. Not really wanting to talk much about it in a public forum, but shoot me an email and maybe I can fill you in a little bit. Oh, and I've searched and searched the Internet, but can't seem to get all of the info I need, such as whether the diff will mount in the sub I've got, or axle size, and in many cases the sellers don't know what the gear ratio is.
