2004 E500 4matic / Headliner
My headliner is sagging a little bit, i decided to try and fix it.
I took out dam near everything, the headliner is out and moving i just cant get it out of the car for some reason. I even took out the back seats in attempt to pull it out of the trunk but it has a metal plate in between the trunk and the back seat . Is there any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it, as far as it goes, i'm hoping i don't have to cut the windshield out and take out from there as it seems that's the only place it can come out from. Please let me know

You gotta **** it and bend it. When these cars are built, the headliner is installed before the front windshield is..... So getting a square block in a round hole is what you gotta do ha.

only problem with that is its made out of fiberglass and i don't wanna break it ;/ its not really all that bendable anyways . geez looks like im going to have to cut out my windshield and then reinstall it. crap.. anyone who has done one of these on a w211 please let me know what you did and how your experience was. would be greatly appreciated. thanks

It is possible to remove it through the rear doors. Just saying. See it done all the time. You could always just get some spray adhesive and repair it in the vehicle.
