Its arrived

The beast is parked in the driveway in all its glory. As soon as it is practible I will attempt to take a photograph. At present we are having a few showers and the car is slightly dirty.

I must confess the manual is not a patch on the quality hard-back one from our previous E-class, still I suppose that's progress.

Bye for now,
John

Thanks everyone,
This is now my first day in taking my Ph.D and I am reading: The Operations Manual of the W211 and it's COMAND system.

I am hoping it will be a condensed course that will not take the full 2 years, but it appears to be a steep learning curve!!

I am at present studying, The adjustment of the nearside mirror when reversing for individual drivers and programing it into the relevant ignition key

Regards,
John

I don't know if you saw the Top Gear program (we're probably a bit behind here), where Jeremy compared the thickness of the S Class manual(s) with the Complete History of Britain. The latter was quite a lot shorter!

Spot on as well. Mind you the rest of that article contained more than a little 'journalistic license' especially his slaughter of the Linguatronic option.

John
